The Caldera

I took this image, but I have also walked to the centre of the image, where the figures are. I have been the one looking into the abyss and now, I am set back, looking at another group looking into the abyss.

This cycle of looking and then looking at looking is what photography gives me.

It is raining tonight, it is dark and cold and I have so much pressing on me. But for this small amount of time I can oscillate between this desk, behind the camera in the image and the farthest position in the image. The Caldera. The circle. They cycle.
